High-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), copolyester, and polypropylene may all be used to make multi-use water bottles. All have the benefit of being long-lasting, lightweight, dishwasher-safe, and BPA-free. The fundamental distinction between each kind of water bottle is the material's flexibility. The most stiff bottles are copolyester and polypropylene. HDPE bottles maintain some elasticity, but LDPE bottles (often associated with'squeeze' type bottles) are very flexible and foldable.
