Members of the Concord YMCA can now use the Granite YMCAs in Manchester, Portsmouth, Rochester, Goffstown, and Londonderry.

According to David Ports, president and CEO of the Granite YMCA, the Granite YMCA and Concord YMCA met a year ago to discuss whether integration would be a good idea. An integration team comprised of board members and staff determined that joining forces would result in a stronger Y.

An official record of what happens during a board meeting ensures that there is a contemporaneous document for future reference. Charities are not required to make the minutes of their Board meetings available to the public. As a result, we are unable to review and comment on their minutes. For this performance metric, we look to see if the charity reports that it keeps those minutes on its Form 990. In the future, we will also track and rate whether or not a charity keeps committee meeting minutes. (Less)

He has a strong background in strategic thinking and planning, governance, financial development, fiscal management, and operations.
