K Camp Comfortable Lyrics
XXL: Your new EP, Lyric Ave, was inspired by your experience in Los Angeles. Can you tell us about the EP and your life on Lyric Avenue? K Camp: Lyric Avenue was a movie set for six months. You should have shown up. It was just a matter of turning up and producing. We had the studio erected in the crib's basement. The whole Lyric Ave project was a hot topic. I simply wanted to share this with the fans. My album was the most recent effort I released. K.I.S.S. 3 was a project, however it was just for women. It counts, but not as far as the streets are concerned. So I needed to offer my followers something, which is how Lyric Ave was born.
Camp eventually released his first EP, In Due Time, on a much greater scale in April 2014. Will-A-Fool produced the EP's cut Cut Her Off, which featured ace industry veteran 2 Chainz. The song reached at 49th on the Billboard Hot 100 and was one of the top five songs on the Hot Rap Songs Chart. The song's music video was posted on YouTube in May 2014 and quickly became a hit. At the 2014 BET Hip-Hop Awards, the song was nominated for Best Club Banger. Later, the song was named the #1 song on the USA Today Urban Airplay Chart. Rappers Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, and YG subsequently remixed it. Five of Camp's tracks topped the Billboard Twitter Real-Time chart in 2014.
