David Ports Granite Ymca

Volunteer of the Year: Tom and Sally Addison Bill Tucker received the Tom and Sally Addison Volunteer of the Year award this year in appreciation of his tremendous leadership over the previous many decades. He is a thoughtful ally and strategic thinker, as well as a valued adviser to the YMCA's professional and volunteer leaders. Tuck exhibited gutsy and intelligent leadership as Treasurer and head of the Finance Committee, assisting the Y in preparing for and managing the financial uncertainties of the epidemic. He also offered pro bono legal assistance to assist our organization in effectively integrating the Concord YMCA. It is a real pleasure to have Bill Tucker as a member of our Y family for his remarkable volunteer commitment, altruism, and devotion to the Y. Peg O'Brien and David Ports present Bill Tucker with the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2021.

David formerly worked as the CEO of the Greater Missoula Family YMCA, which serviced 7,600 members and 15,560 program participants. Under his leadership, membership climbed from 5,600 to 7,600, and youth program participation increased by more than 60% to 15,560. David also assisted in increasing board of director engagement, establishing an endowment program, and increasing the Y's annual Partners for Youth fundraising campaign by 460 percent. David has a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of New Hampshire, as well as certificates in YMCA Organizational Leadership and YMCA Executive Development. He has a strong background in strategic thinking and planning, governance, financial development, fiscal management, and operations.

For the sake of our community's health and safety, and in accordance with the Governor's Emergency Order of March 26, our facilities will be shuttered until May 4, 2020. We have cancelled our Spring 1 program session due to the prolonged closure, and we will refund the entire cost of the program back to your YMCA account. We can't wait to meet you and your family during our Spring 2 session! Currently, our efforts have been concentrated on delivering emergency assistance to individuals on the front lines of the virus's battle, as well as assisting the most vulnerable members of our communities and offering virtual material to help our members remain healthy.

We are seeking cash for the Elliot Regional Cancer Center expansion in Manchester, New Hampshire. Unlike any other facility in southern New Hampshire, the new cancer center will consolidate almost all services and treatments into a single convenient site here in Manchester. We are also launching a unique Patient and Family Navigator Program to help patients and their families through the whole cancer treatment process, as well as introducing infusion services in our new facility, which is set to open in the fall of 2020. We must all work together to guarantee that Hope is present. When you sign up for the race, you will get an email with a link to a pre-loaded and customized fundraising page. You may explain why expanding cancer care in your community is important to you, and you can share your personal fundraising page with friends, coworkers, and family members. Please share your link on social media to urge your friends to support the race and our efforts to enhance cancer care in our community. You may also add images, your own stories, personal objectives, and other information to this page.
