This outdoor rink at Bear Mountain State Park is right across the river and is open from November to March. Skating lessons are provided for children beginning at the age of five during Saturday public skate sessions by two separate teachers. Skate rentals are available at the rink, but keep in mind that it is entirely outdoors, so make sure everyone is appropriately dressed for the frigid temperatures. Little Sluggers is a program for children starting Kindergarten in the 2021-2022 school year (age 4-5). This is a six-week introduction to the game of T-Ball. Little Sluggers will meet once a week, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Morning classes will be held at Otter Lake Elementary from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Every participant will be given a t-shirt.
